Refund & Cancellation Policy

Overview
This policy governs refunds and cancellations for all Zakro subscription plans. Zakro is operated by Orosfort Private Limited, Chennai, India. All payments are processed via our third-party payment gateway.
Free trial
All paid plans come with a 3-day free trial. No credit card or payment is required to start the trial.
During the trial period, you have full access to all features of the plan you selected. If you do not upgrade before the trial ends, your account will revert to limited access and no payment will be charged.
Subscription billing
Zakro subscriptions are billed annually in advance. Billing begins on the date you subscribe to a paid plan.
All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of applicable GST. GST will be applied at the prevailing rate at the time of billing.
You will receive a GST-compliant invoice to the email address registered on your account within 24 hours of each successful payment.
Refund eligibility
We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first paid subscription payment if you are not satisfied with the service.
To be eligible for a refund:
- The refund request must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the payment date
- The request must be for your first subscription payment (not a renewal)
- Your account must not have violated our Terms of Service
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval.
Non-refundable situations
We do not offer refunds for:
- Renewal payments (annual plan renewals after the first year)
- Requests submitted more than 7 days after the payment date
- Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service
- Partial months or unused portions of an annual plan after the 7-day window
- Plan upgrades mid-cycle (the difference is applied as credit toward the next billing cycle)
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from within your Zakro account settings, or by emailing billing@zakro.io.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to Zakro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
No further charges will be made after cancellation. Your data will be retained for 90 days after cancellation, during which you can export it in CSV format. After 90 days, your data will be permanently deleted.
Plan downgrades
You may downgrade to a lower plan at any time. The new plan will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. No refund is issued for the difference in price for the current billing cycle.
Plan upgrades
When you upgrade to a higher plan mid-cycle, you will be charged the prorated difference for the remaining days of the current billing cycle. The upgraded plan takes effect immediately.
Disputed charges
If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us within 10 days of the charge at billing@zakro.io with your account email and the transaction details.
We will investigate and respond within 5 business days. If the charge is confirmed to be an error, we will process a full refund.
How to request a refund
To request a refund, send an email to:
billing@zakro.io
Include: your account email, payment date, amount, and reason for the refund request.
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 5–10 business days.
Payment processor
Zakro uses a third-party payment gateway to process payments. Refunds are subject to the processing timelines of the payment processor. Zakro is not responsible for delays caused by your bank or card issuer in crediting refunds.
